How to use Zolcalm Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zolcalm 10mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Zolcalm Tablet works

Zolcalm 10mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Melatonin and Zolpidem which work on your brain to make you feel relaxed and sleepy. Melatonin is a natural hormone which regulates the sleep-wake cycle and helps fall asleep. Zolpidem is a sedative which works by slowing activity of the nerve cells in the brain and helps sleep for longer.

Zolcalm Tablet related warnings

It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Zolcalm 10mg Tablet. Taking melatonin with alcohol may cause sleepiness and the effects may become even stronger.
Zolcalm 10mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Zolcalm 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Zolcalm 10mg Tablet is safe as per American Association of Pregnancy.
Zolcalm 10mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
There is limited information available on the use of Zolcalm 10mg Tablet in patients with kidney disease. Please consult your doctor.
However, based on the limited information available it is advised that Zolcalm 10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease.
Zolcalm 10mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Zolcalm 10mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Zolcalm 10mg Tablet is generally started at a low dose in patients with mild to moderate liver disease and is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease.

Dear doctor, I have been prescribed anxit 0.5 and Zolcalm 5 and rexite plus for my chronic insomnia. I am consulting for this issue only recently since i am a bity wary of using sleeping medicines of their drug dependency. Kindly help with your suggestion. Thank You.
