Sulphacetamide(1.5% w/v)

Uses

Sulphacetamide is used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

How it works

Sulphacetamide is an antibiotic. It stops bacteria from producing folic acid, a vitamin required for bacterial replication.

Blurred vision, Burning sensation, Eye itching, Eye swelling, Headache, Itching, Skin rash, Skin redness, Tingling sensation
Boric Acid(0.1% w/v)

Uses

Boric Acid is used to prevent infections.

How it works

Boric acid belongs to class of drugs called antiseptics. It can weakly inhibit bacterial and fungal growth. It irrigates the eyes, cleanses, refreshes and soothes the irritated eyes; and help in removal of loose foreign material, air pollutants or chlorinated water.

Phenylephrine(0.1% w/v)

Uses

Phenylephrine is used in the treatment of inflammation of the uvea (middle layer of the eye between the sclera and the retina), rhinitis (common cold) and pupil dilation.

How it works

Phenylephrine stimulates receptors on blood vessels and leads to constriction of blood vessels. This leads to decrease in the flow of blood in the blood vessels of nose, which in turn relieves nasal congestion.

How it works

Zinc supplementation has been shown to reduce the duration and severity of diarrhea in populations of children with a high incidence of zinc deficiency, and also to reduce the frequency of recurrences in the subsequent 2-3 months.

  • Do not use if the sulphacetamide solution changes color.
  • Seek immediate medical attention is you experience signs of a secondary infection, as long-term or repeated use of sulfacetamide drops may trigger the same. 
  • Seek immediate medical attention if you experience any allergic symptoms such as rash, red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin.
  • Avoid direct contact with the applicator tip to prevent any contamination. Keep the container tightly closed.
  • Do not drive or use any machinery after taking sulphacetamide as it may blurred the vision. 
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. 
  • Do not take if patient is allergic to sulphacetamide or any of its ingredients. 
  • Do not given Infants less than 2 months.
