How to use Zaptra Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Zaptra 12.5 mg/0.25 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Zaptra Capsule works

Zaptra 12.5 mg/0.25 mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Paroxetine and clonazepam which have mood-enhancing and anxiety-lowering effects. Paroxetine is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) which increases the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger that improves mood. Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine (BZD) which increases the action of GABA, a chemical messenger that suppresses the abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Zaptra 12.5 mg/0.25 mg Capsule may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy
CAUTION
Zaptra 12.5 mg/0.25 mg Capsule is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Human and animal studies have shown significant adverse effects on the foetus. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Driving

Kidney

Use of Zaptra 12.5 mg/0.25 mg Capsule can cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver
