Xolid 600 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of severe bacterial infections. It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections of lungs (Pneumonia), and some infections in or under the skin.
Side Effects of Xolid are Diarrhoea, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Anemia (low number of red blood cells).
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xolid 600 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Avoid Xolid 600 mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.
Xolid 600 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Your doctor has prescribed Xolid 600 mg Tablet to cure your infection and improve your symptoms.
Take it with food to avoid an upset stomach.
Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection to come back and harder to treat.
Diarrhea may occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it doesn't stop or if you find blood in your stools.
Avoid eating cheese, processed meats, alcohol, or soy sauce as these may raise your blood pressure.
- Inform your doctor if you develop fever, shortness of breath, or any changes in your vision.

Xolid 600 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Xolid 600 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Xolid 600 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Xolid 600 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Xolid 600 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Xolid 600 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease. Dose adjustment of Xolid 600 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Limited information is available on the use of Xolid 600 mg Tablet in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate liver disease.
