Xinomom CF Cream is a combination of three medicines: Clotrimazole TOPICAL, Fusidic Acid Topical and Mometasone Topical which treat skin infections. Clotrimazole TOPICAL is a steroid medicine which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Fusidic Acid Topical is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi by preventing them from forming their own protective covering. Mometasone Topical is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.
Xinomom CF Cream may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Xinomom CF Cream is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
