Paroxetine(40 mg)

Uses

Xet 40 mg tablet is used in the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobia.

How it works

Xet 40 mg tablet works in depression by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain. Serotonin is one of the chemical messengers in the brain that helps in regulating mood.

  • Take Paroxetine as prescribed by your doctor. 
  • Do not increase or decrease the dose without consulting the doctor. 
  • You may have to take Paroxetine at least for 1 to 4 weeks or longer before you begin to feel better. 
  • Do not discontinue the use of Paroxetine, unless the doctor has advised you. This may increase the chances of side effects.
