Xeprich 10mg Capsule is used in the treatment of depression and insomnia. It is used in patients intolerant of or unresponsive to alternative treatment options for depression.

How to use Xeprich Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Xeprich 10mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Xeprich 10mg Capsule increases the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that help in regulating the mood and treat depression.

Expert advice for Xeprich Capsule

  • The main dose should be taken at night as this drug may produce drowsiness or sleepiness.
  • It can take 4 to 6 weeks for Xeprich to start working.
  • You should continue the treatment for at least 6 months after you feel better to stop depression from coming back.
  • If your doctor asks you to stop Xeprich, you should reduce the dose slowly over 4 weeks. You should not discontinue it abruptly.
  • Avoid driving or operating machinery as it may decrease alertness.
  • Avoid consuming alcohol when taking the Xeprich, as it may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness.
  • The addiction/dependence potential of Xeprich is very less.
  • It may be extremely dangerous in overdose.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Xeprich 10mg Capsule may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.
Pregnancy

Xeprich 10mg Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Xeprich 10mg Capsule is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
The baby should be monitored carefully for excessive sleepiness, and adequate weight gain.
Driving
Xeprich 10mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
SAFE
Xeprich 10mg Capsule is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Xeprich 10mg Capsule is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Xeprich 10mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Xeprich 10mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

If you miss a dose of Xeprich 10mg Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
