Headache (‘nitrate headache’) may occur but should go away after a few days of continued treatment.
You may develop tolerance to Vasonit with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this.
Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fibre, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, limit alcohol intake, increase your physical activity, watch your weight, and reduce stress.
Notify your doctor about other medicines (eg. sildenafil, tadalafil or vardenafil) that you are taking as Vasonit may interact with them and cause a serious fall in blood pressure. This may lead to collapse, unconsciousness and could be fatal.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Vasonit 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Vasonit 10mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired,
or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Vasonit 10mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Vasonit 10mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Vasonit 10mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with
liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Vasonit 10mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Isosorbide Mononitrate, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
Vasonit does not cause erectile dysfunction but should not be used with the drugs such as Viagra used to treat ED. Low blood pressure is a common side effect of Vasonit. Hair loss is not common, but may occur in some especially in older (60+) females
