Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Valfect 80mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Valfect 80mg Tablet is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking the hormone angiotensin thereby relaxing blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.

Valfect 80mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Valfect 80mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Valfect 80mg Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Valfect 80mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Valfect 80mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Regular blood pressure monitoring is recommended. No dose adjustment is needed in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease.

Valfect may cause cough, weight gain, erectile dysfunction, or lower heart rate. It generally not been shown to cause dry mouth, insomnia, itching, or hair loss. Please consult your doctor if you experience these side effects
