How to use UROTONE TABLET

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It is better to take Urotone 25mg tablet empty stomach (1 hour before food or 2 hours after food).

How UROTONE TABLET works

Urotone 25mg tablet works by increasing the contraction of the urinary bladder muscle, helping to initiate micturition and empty the bladder.

  • Always take bethanechol on an empty stomach/ half an hour before food to reduce the risk of nausea.
  • Avoid using bethanechol if you are pregnant, or planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Consult your doctor before taking bethanechol if you have a history of or you are suffering from asthma, bladder infection, fits (epilepsy), high blood pressure, heart disease, Parkinson's disease (disorder with shuffling walk, and trembling), overactive thyroid gland, or ulcers.
  • Stop bethanechol and consult your doctor immediately if you experience shortness of breath, fainting or very slow heart beat (pulse rate below 50 beats per minute).
  • Bethanechol may cause drowsiness and interfere with ability to drive or operate machinery.
