UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION is unsafe to use during pregnancy. There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION is unsafe to use during lactation.
Data suggests that the drug may cause toxicity to the baby, or the mother is suffering from a condition in which breastfeeding is not advisable.
Do not drive unless you are feeling well. UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION may cause side effects such as feeling sleepy and/or vomiting which could affect your ability to drive.
UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of UNIPLATIN 50 MG INJECTION may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Uniplatin is platinum based inorganic compound used to destroy cancer cells and also acts as radiosensitizer i.e. it increases the response to radiotherapy. It is not a vesicant, but can cause irritation and damage to the vein in which it is injected, and damage to skin and surrounding tissues if leaks during injection
