It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Ultiflox(snw) 0.3% eye ointment at a fixed time.

Ultiflox(snw) 0.3% eye ointment may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.

Ciprofloxacin Topical(0.3%)


Ultiflox(snw) 0.3% eye ointment is used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections such as ear infections, acute inflammation of external auditory canal (otitis externa) and acute inflammation of middle ear (otitis media), sinus infections, eye infections like inflammation of conjunctiva (conjunctivitis), corneal ulcers and inflammation of eyelids (blepheritis) and other skin and soft tissue infections.

How it works

Ciprofloxacin belongs to a class of medication called as fluoroquinolone antibiotic. Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial reproduction by inhibiting DNA formation, thereby killing the bacteria.

  • Consult a doctor if you notice first signs of a skin rash or any other allergic symptoms like red, raised, pale itch skin (urticarial hives), sudden swelling of face, throat or eyelids, breathing problems after starting treatment with the ciprofloxacin topical.
  • Tell your doctor if you are an elderly and using corticosteroids before using ciprofloxacin topical.
  • Prolonged use of ciprofloxacin topical may cause other infections, inform your doctor if your symptoms get worse or suddenly return.
  • Do not drive or operate heavy machinery after using ciprofloxacin eye drops as it may cause blurred vision.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • It should not take if patient is allergic to ciprofloxacin, other quinolones or any of its ingredients. 
  • Patients with ear and eye infection caused by fungus or virus.
