Medicine Overview of Tranlok M Tablet
Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of menstrual pain.
Nausea, Vomiting, Heartburn, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Loss of appetite, Nasal congestion, Headache, Tiredness, Musculoskeletal (bone, muscle or joint) pain, Anemia (low number of red blood cells), Stomach pain, Sinus pain, Sinus inflammation.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid. Tranexamic Acid is an antifibrinolytic. It works by preventing the breakdown of clots and controls excessive bleeding during menstruation (periods). Mefenamic Acid is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, drowsy or affect your vision. Do not drive until your vision is clear.
Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Tranlok M 500 mg/250 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
