How to use Tramec Tablet
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Take it with food, if it causes stomach upset.
How Tramec Tablet works
Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Paracetamol / Acetaminophen and Tramadol. Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain. Tramadol is an opioid analgesic (pain reliever) which works by blocking the transmission of pain signals to the brain to lower pain perception.

Pregnancy

Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Consult a doctor immediately if the baby shows signs of increased sleepiness (more than usual), difficulty breastfeeding, breathing problems, or limpness.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet may cause side effects such as drowsiness and blurred vision. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tramec 325mg/37.5mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION

Yes, the use of Tramec can cause dry mouth. If you experience dry mouth, drink plenty of water. Take regular sips during the day and keep some water on the bedside at night. You may use some lip balm if your lips are also dry.

Tramec is usually safe to use in the recommended dose. However, an overdose of Tramec can damage your liver. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, it may increase your risk of liver damage.
