Medicine Overview of Tace-TP Tablet
Tace-TP 4mg/100mg/325mg Tablet is used for muscular pain.
Side Effects of Tace-TP are Nausea, Vomiting, Heartburn, Stomach pain, Diarrhoea, Loss of appetite, Dryness in mouth.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tace-TP 4mg/100mg/325mg Tablet is to be taken with food.
This will help to avoid acidity and heartburn.
Tace-TP 4mg/100mg/325mg Tablet is a combination of two pain relievers (Thiocolchicoside, Paracetamol / Acetaminophen)and a muscle relaxant (Aceclofenac). The pain relievers work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). The muscle relaxant works on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and improve movement of muscles. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug (NSAID) and Paracetamol / Acetaminophen is an antipyretic (fever reducer). They work by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever.

- You have been prescribed Tace-TP 4mg/100mg/325mg Tablet to relieve pain due to muscle spasm.
- It is usually used along with rest and physical therapy.
- Avoid consuming alcohol when taking Tace-TP 4mg/100mg/325mg Tablet as it may cause excessive drowsiness and increase the risk of liver damage.
- Older adults may have increased drowsiness, confusion, and higher risk of falling while taking Tace-TP 4mg/100mg/325mg Tablet.
- Do not take it with any other medicine containing acetaminophen (drugs for pain/fever or cough-and-cold) without asking your doctor first.

Taking Thiocolchicoside+Aceclofenac+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen with alcohol can cause liver damage.

Tace-TP is usually used for short term and can be discontinued when the pain is relieved. However, Tace-TP should be continued if the doctor is advised to do so.
Q. Are there any specific contraindications associated with the use of Tace-TP?
The use of Tace-TP is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to any of the component or excipients of this medicine or in patients with known allergy to other pain killers. The use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with a history of or active, recurrent stomach ulcer/bleeding and in patients with history of heart failure, high blood pressure, and liver or kidney disease.

Yes, Tace-TP can be taken with vitamin B-complex preparations. Tace-TP helps to relieve pain and vitamin B-complex can help to corrects the vitamin deficiency that might be causing your symptoms.
Q. Can the use of Tace-TP cause damage to kidneys?
Yes, the long term use of Tace-TP can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects the kidneys from damage. Use of pain-killers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long term use. Use of pain killers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.
Q. Will Tace-TP be more effective if taken in higher doses?
No, taking more of this medicine will not make it more effective. Consuming higher than the recommended dose of Tace-TP can lead to increased side effects. If the symptoms are getting severe, please consult the doctor for re-evaluation.
Q. Can the use of Tace-TP cause damage to liver?
Tace-TP contains Paracetamol. These medicine are known to cause harm to the liver especially in the doses above the recommended level. Also, avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine, as it may further increase your risk of liver damage. Use of this medicine should preferably be avoided in patients with the underlying liver disease. Contact your doctor immediately If you notice any early signs and symptoms of liver damage such as fever, rash, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes and abnormal live enzymes.
