T Clar 250mg Tablet is used in the treatment of Bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use T Clar Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take T Clar 250mg Tablet at a fixed time.
Avoid T Clar 250mg Tablet with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

How T Clar Tablet works

T clar 250mg tablet is an antibiotic. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Expert advice for T Clar Tablet

  • Do not start or continue the clarithromycin tablets/suspension and consult your doctor, if you are allergic to clarithromycin or any macrolide antibiotic (ex. azithromycin,).
  • Do not start or continue the clarithromycin tablets/suspension, if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • Do not start or continue the clarithromycin tablets/suspension, if you develop severe or prolonged diarrhea during or after receiving clarithromycin.
  • If clarithromycin tablets make you feel dizzy, do not drive, operate machinery or do anything that requires you to be alert.

Clarithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic, not a penicillin or fluoroquinolone
T clar is safe if used at prescribed doses for the prescribed duration as advised by your doctor
T clar can be used to treat bacterial vaginosis unless resistance has not been developed against clindamycin or any macrolide antibiotic (T clar. azithromycin, etc.)
T clar is gluten free. However, please refer to package insert of the prescribed brand before use. T clar is not a sulfa drug/does not contain sulpha
Q. Can I take clarithromycin with amoxicillin, paracetamol, ibuprofen, omeprazole, metronidazole or Nyquil?
Yes clarithromycin can be taken with amoxicillin, paracetamol, ibuprofen, omeprazole, metronidazole or Nyquil. Always consult your physician before use
T clar does not cause drowsiness when taken as prescribed. But, it may cause insomnia (sleeplessness) and thrush (infection of mouth caused by candida fungus)
When taken with birth control pills, T clar does not affect birth control.
