Synclar Dry Syrup is used in the treatment of Bacterial infections
It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues, windpipe and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Synclar Dry Syrup

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Dissolve the powder in sterile water. Shake well and use. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Synclar Dry Syrup at a fixed time.
Avoid Synclar Dry Syrup with tyramine-rich food such as cheese, smoked fish, meats and some types of beer.

Synclar dry syrup is an antibiotic. It stops the bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, which are required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

  • Do not start or continue the clarithromycin tablets/suspension and consult your doctor, if you are allergic to clarithromycin or any macrolide antibiotic (ex. azithromycin,).
  • Do not start or continue the clarithromycin tablets/suspension, if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • Do not start or continue the clarithromycin tablets/suspension, if you develop severe or prolonged diarrhea during or after receiving clarithromycin.
  • If clarithromycin tablets make you feel dizzy, do not drive, operate machinery or do anything that requires you to be alert.

Synclar does not cause drowsiness when taken as prescribed. But, it may cause insomnia (sleeplessness) and thrush (infection of mouth caused by candida fungus)
When taken with birth control pills, Synclar does not affect birth control.
