Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet is a combination of medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It helps control blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. It helps to maintain blood sugar levels and reduces the chances of developing serious complications of diabetes.

Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet should be taken in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It is to be taken with food, preferably at the same time each day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Some people may develop hypoglycemia (low blood sugar level) when this medicine is taken along with other antidiabetic medicines, alcohol or upon skipping a meal. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly while taking it. Other common side effects of this medicine include nausea, taste changes, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, and respiratory tract infection.

Before taking Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver or heart problems. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should also consult their doctor before taking it. Your doctor will check your kidney function tests before starting treatment with it. Avoid excessive alcohol intake while taking it as this may increase the risk of developing some side effects.

Breast feeding

Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet is probably safe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent any significant risk to the baby.
Monitoring of the breastfed infant's blood glucose is advisable during maternal therapy with Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet
Driving
CAUTION
Your ability to drive may be affected if your blood sugar is too low or too high. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Kidney
CAUTION
Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels which may become normal after a long time.
Liver
CAUTION
Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Sugamet MC G 1mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease. These patients can experience very low blood sugar levels which may become normal after a long time.

what is the difference between methylcobalamine (mcg500) and mecobalamin Previously I used to have Sugamet MC 500 (with methylcobalamine) but this time I received Sugamet MC 500 (with mecobalamin ). Kindly advise.
