Sucralfate is used to treat stomach ulcers, bowel ulcers and inflammation of the stomach.

How it works

Sucralfate belongs to a category of drugs called as ulcer-healing medications. It works by forming a protective lining over the ulcer and protects it from acid, bile salts and enzymes.
