Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet is to be taken with food.

How Smf Kit Tablet works

Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet is a combination of three medicines: Fluconazole, Azithromycin and Secnidazole. Fluconazole is an antifungal which works by preventing the formation of the fungal protective covering which is essential for the survival of the fungi in the human body. Azithromycin is an antibiotic which stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Secnidazole is also an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA. Together, they treat your infection effectively.

Pregnancy

Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet should be used with caution during lactation. Breast feeding should be held until the treatment of the mother is completed and the drug is eliminated from her body.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet may cause dizziness or seizures. This may affect your ability to drive.
Kidney
UNSAFE
Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with kidney disease and should be avoided. Please consult your doctor.
Caution to be advised in patients with impaired renal function.
Liver
Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Smf Kit 150 mg/500 mg/1000 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
