How to use SENZCLOR OINTMENT

This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and gently massage the ointment. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.

How SENZCLOR OINTMENT works

Senzclor 1% w/w ointment is an antibiotic. It stops bacterial growth by inhibiting synthesis of essential proteins, required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Expert advice for SENZCLOR OINTMENT

Do not apply on affected eye for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor. Seek advice from your doctor before using chloramphenicol ointment, if you wear contact lenses.  Treatment should be continued for at least 48 hours after the eye appears normal. Inform your doctor if symptoms do not disappear after 48 hours of use. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to chloramphenicol or any of its ingredients. Do not take this medicine if you have a personal or family history of blood dyscrasias (disease of the blood characterized by abnormal blood cells).
