Common side effects

Uses

Sodium Monofluorophosphate is used in the treatment of hypersensitivity, inflammation of gums and dental cavities.

How it works

Sodium monofluorophosphate belongs to the class of medications called as mineral supplements. It is hydrolysed in fluoride and phosphate ions. Fluoride ions reduce the ability of bacteria to make acids, and they re-mineralize the areas of the tooth that have been attacked by acids from bacteria.
