My younger son Master PATIENT on 9.8.2008 and now he is studying in 2nd std. When he was born we observed that there was a wound on his back Myelomeningocele which we got it operated on the third day of his birth. It was further opined by the treating doctor that he had to undergo V.P. Shunt operation which was carried out during 1 1/2 month of his birth.Now the present situation is that:- Since birth till now he is mentally healthy and stable;He speaks, learns, expresses etc quite well;He is studying very well; the problems he is facing with:-He could stand, walk, ONLY WITH SUPPORT;Even when walks his foot palms gets folded i.e. it is not normal and due to which it creates a fear that he will fall down; He also rides bicycle with support but the required strength is not coming forth from the feet;Due to physiotherapy and the suggested treatment we observe that there is some improvement but we can say around 50%I am confident with the above you will understand the situation correctly as I have explained the matter as I know as I am unaware of medical terminology.
