Uses of Roxymycin Tablet DT

Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used in infections of tonsils, sinus, ear, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia).

How to use Roxymycin Tablet DT

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Roxymycin Tablet DT works

Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet is an antibiotic. It works by preventing synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions. Thus, it stops the bacteria from growing, and prevents the infection from spreading.

Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
SAFE
Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
CAUTION
Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Roxymycin Tablet DT?

If you miss a dose of Roxymycin 50 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
