It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Rotasure injection at a fixed time.

Live Attenuated Human Rotavirus Vaccine(NA)

Uses

Rotasure injection is used to prevent rotavirus infection (viral infection with diarrhoea and dehydration in children).

How it works

A live, attenuated monovalent and pentavalent vaccine derived from human strain and human-bovine reassortant vaccine indicated for prevention of rotavirus gastroenteritis caused by G1, G2, G3, G4 and G9 serotypes. Vaccine viruses replicate in the small intestine and promote active immunity.

Common side effects

Otitis media (infection of ear), Bronchospasm, Diarrhoea, Fatigue, Flatulence, Irritation, Nasopharyngitis, Rectal haemorrhage (bleeding), Vomiting
