How to use Ril Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Ril 2.5mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Ril Capsule works

Ril 2.5mg Capsule is an angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It works by reducing stress on the heart and relaxing blood vessel so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.

  • You have been prescribed Ril 2.5mg Capsule to improve blood pressure.
  • Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attack & strokes.
  • It may also be used to treat chronic (long-standing) heart failure.
  • It protects kidney function, which is especially useful for people with diabetes or mild-to-moderate kidney diseases.
  • Ril 2.5mg Capsule can make you feel dizzy for the first few days.  Take it preferably at bedtime and rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
  • Let your doctor know about any dizziness, cough, or throat irritation that doesn't go away.
  • Ril 2.5mg Capsule may cause the level of potassium in blood to go up. Avoid taking potassium supplements and potassium-rich foods such as banana and broccoli.
  • Do not take it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell your doctor if you become pregnant while taking Ril 2.5mg Capsule.

Driving
Ril 2.5mg Capsule may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Ril 2.5mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Ril 2.5mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
