Retoz-MR 60mg/8mg Tablet is used for pain due to muscle spasm.
Side Effects of Retoz-MR are Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Indigestion, Flatulence, Swelling of hands, Swelling of feet, Flu-like symptoms.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Retoz-MR 60mg/8mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Retoz-MR 60mg/8mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Etoricoxib and Thiocolchicoside which relieve pain and relax the muscles. Etoricoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant. It works on the centres in the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles.

Yes, the long term use of Retoz-mr can cause damage to the kidneys. Normal kidneys produce a chemical called prostaglandins that protects the kidneys from damage. Use of pain-killers lower the levels of prostaglandins in the body leading to kidney damage on long term use. Use of pain killers is not recommended in patients with underlying kidney disease.
