Expert advice FOR RESTASIS eye drop

  • Cyclosporine (topical) should be applied to the affected eye(s) at bedtime.
  • Blink a few times after applying, so that the medicine covers your eye. Press a finger into the corner of your eye by the nose and close gently the eyelids for 2 minutes. This helps to stop Cyclosporine (topical) getting into the rest of the body and an increase in local activity.
  • Cyclosporine (topical) should not be administered while wearing contact lenses.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking any medicines to treat glaucoma.
  • Inform your doctor if you are using eye drops containing steroids as these might increase the risk of side effects.
  • Inform your doctor if you had an eye infection from herpes virus in the past.
  • Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to conceive or breastfeeding.
