Artemether is used in the treatment of malaria.

How it works

Artemether belongs to class of medications called anti-malarial. It acts by killing the malarial parasite called Plasmodium falciparum.

Lumefantrine is used in the treatment of malaria.

How it works

Lumefantrine is an antimalarial drug which accumulates within the malaria parasite and inhibits the breakdown of hemoglobin. It forms a toxic complex with heme (part of hemoglobin) in the parasite, and also damages the parasite cell membrane, thereby killing it.
