How to use Prazopress Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Prazopress XL 5mg Tablet at a fixed time.

How Prazopress Tablet works

Prazopress xl 5mg tablet works by relaxing muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. Prazopress xl 5mg tablet also lowers blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels.

Prazopress is an alpha blocker and is used in the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure), heart failure, painfully cold fingers (Raynaud’s Disease) or mild enlargement of the prostate gland (prostatic hyperplasia) in men.
Prazopress is generally well tolerated and safe if used at prescribed doses for a prescribed duration as advised by a doctor.
Prazopress is not addictive as it does not have any habit-forming potential.
Weight gain has not been reported with Prazopress. However, if you have heart failure, Prazopress can gradually become less helpful over several months and if this happens you may notice swelling of your legs or ankles due to retention of fluid known as edema. If you develop edema or weight gain while taking Prazopress tell your doctor as your doctor may need to change the dose of Prazopress or other medicines you are taking.
