How to use Pentasa Sachet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Empty the granules in a glass of water/milk, stir it and consume immediately. It is better to take Pentasa 1gm Granules with food.

Expert advice for Pentasa Sachet

  • Do not take the medicine if you are allergic to mesalazine, to any other content in the medicine, aspirin and other salicylate drugs.
  • Do not take mesalazine if you have severe kidney or liver problems, blood disorders or uncontrolled bleeding.
  • Do not take mesalazine if you have stomach or bowel ulcers or a history of bleeding ulcers, glucose-galactose mala absorption, Lapp-lactase deficiency or galactose intolerance.
  • Doctor’s advice should be considered in case of patients with liver, kidney or lung disease (asthma).
  • Avoid taking mesalazine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breast-feeding.

Missed Dosageuses

If you miss a dose of Mesalazine, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
