How to use Omiprex D Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Omiprex D 10 mg/20 mg Capsule is to be taken empty stomach.
Take Omiprex D 10 mg/20 mg Capsule 30 minutes before food.

How Omiprex D Capsule works

Omiprex D 10 mg/20 mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Omeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily through the stomach. Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). It works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking a large amount of alcohol can increase acidity and cause acid reflux in the food pipe causing heartburn. This would decrease the effect of this drug and can aggravate your underlying condition.
Pregnancy

Omiprex D 10 mg/20 mg Capsule may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Omiprex D 10 mg/20 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.

Kidney
