Uses

Nialip 500 mg tablet cr is used in the treatment of nutritional deficiencies.

How it works

Vitamin B3 is the precursor to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP), which are vital cofactors for dozens of enzymes. Vitamin B3 produces a decrease in esterification of hepatic triglycerides. Vitamin B3 treatment also decreases the serum levels of apolipoprotein B-100 (apo B), the major protein component of the VLDL (very low-density lipoprotein) and LDL fractions.

Common side effects

Vomiting, Nausea, Postural hypotension (low blood pressure), Abdominal pain, Abnormal heart rhythm, Bloody diarrhea, Flushing, Headache, Liver toxicity, Indigestion, Liver necrosis, Muscle pain, Rhabdomyolysis, Rash, Itching
