How to use Nestin Tablet CR

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Nestin Tablet CR works

Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).

Alcohol
CAUTION
Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Nestin Tablet CR?

If you miss a dose of Nestin 2.6 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
