How to use Nebula H Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Nebula H Tablet works

Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two blood-pressure lowering medicines: Nebivolol and Hydrochlorothiazide. Nebivolol is a beta blocker which works specifically on the heart to reduce heart rate and make the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic which lowers blood pressure by removing extra water and certain electrolytes from the body. Over time it also relaxes blood vessels and improves blood flow.

  • It is a combination of two blood pressure lowering medications used for the treatment of high blood pressure.
  • It can be taken with or without food.
  • Do not stop taking Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet suddenly as it can cause your blood pressure to rise suddenly thereby increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
  • It may cause dizziness. If this happens to you, get up slowly when rising from a sitting or lying position.
  • It can hide symptoms of low blood sugar if you're diabetic. Monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
  • Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may cause dehydration. Drink plenty of fluids and Inform your doctor if you develop extreme thirst, muscle weakness or very dry mouth.

Special precautions for Nebula H Tablet
Alcohol
CAUTION
Taking Hydrochlorothiazide with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Pregnancy
WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS
Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
CAUTION
Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Nebula H 5 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
