How to use Myonit Sub lingual tablet

Place the tablet under the tongue or between the cheek and gum, and let it dissolve. Do not chew, crush, or swallow the tablet. Myonit Insta Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Myonit Sub lingual tablet works

Myonit Insta Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain).

Alcohol
CAUTION
Myonit Insta Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions).
Pregnancy
PROBABLY SAFE
Myonit Insta Tablet is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Myonit Insta Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Myonit Insta Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Kidney
Myonit Insta Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Myonit Insta Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
Liver
There is limited information available on the use of Myonit Insta Tablet in patients with liver disease. Please consult your doctor.

  • Eat healthy (low-fat, high-fibre, low-sodium diet), quit smoking, increase your physical activity, watch your weight, and reduce stress.
  • Myonit Insta Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Do not drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
  • Do not consume alcohol while taking Myonit Insta Tablet as it may cause increased dizziness.
  • It may cause headaches which usually go away after a few days of continued treatment. Inform your doctor if it persists.
  • You may develop tolerance to Myonit Insta Tablet with time, meaning that the same dose may be less effective next time. Follow the prescribed dosing schedule to avoid this.
