How to use Mox Redimix Suspension

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Mox Drops may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Mox Redimix Suspension works

Mox Drops is an antibiotic. It kills bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering (cell wall) which is needed for them to survive.

Pregnancy

Mox Drops is probably safe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown low or no adverse effect on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation

Mox Drops is safe to use during lactation. Human studies have shown that either the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in significant amount or is not expected to cause toxicity to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Mox Drops can have side effects and the symptoms (such as allergic reactions, dizziness and convulsions) may make you unfit to drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Mox Drops should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Mox Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Use of this medicine is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease.
Liver
CAUTION
Mox Drops should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mox Drops may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of liver function tests is recommended while you are taking this medicine

  • Mox Drops is used to treat infections caused by bacteria.
  • Finish the prescribed course, even if you start to feel better. Stopping it early may make the infection come back and harder to treat.
  • Take it with food and plenty of fluids to avoid an upset stomach.
  • Diarrhea may occur as a side effect. Taking probiotics along with Mox Drops may help. Talk to your doctor if you notice bloody stools or develop abdominal cramps.

Usually, Mox starts working soon after taking it. However, it may take around 2-3 days to make you feel better while taking Mox.
