I wanted to know whether mirena (Harmone IUD) is good option for long term contraceptive option. Please suggest if you see other better option than this.
Dr. Suman Rao

Yes mirena is a good option. It will have the added advantage of decreased blood flow during periods ( in case you have heavy flow). The side effects of mirena could be irregular bleeding or spotting or no periods at all after 6-12 months of insertion. Other option is multiload. You can go for that also.

I took an iPill within 4-5 hours of the unprotected sex. Exactly the thing is he ejaculated in the condom itself. But after that after a while we had an unprotected sex. So I feared that a bit of semen must have got inside thats why took an iPill as early as possible. This happened on the 4th day after my periods ended. And after a week of taking the iPill I started bleeding like normal periods. I'm a bit worried if I'm pregnant. Please helpI did a pregnancy test too which came out be a negative result. But is that reliable?
