Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Lycyp Syrup may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Lycyp Syrup is a combination of two appetite enhancers: Lysine and Cyproheptadine. Lysine is a building block of essential proteins which improve appetite and digestion. Cyproheptadine works by reducing the effect of a chemical messenger (serotonin) in the hypothalamus, a part of the brain which regulates appetite.
Lycyp Syrup may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol.

Lycyp Syrup may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.

Do not drive unless you are feeling well. Lycyp Syrup may cause dizziness, sedation, and hypotension in elderly patients. This may affect your ability to drive.
