Lot (Entod) Eye Drop is used in the treatment of redness and swelling in the eye. It treats and prevents redness & swelling (inflammation) following eye surgery.

How to use Lot Eye Drop

This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.

How Lot Eye Drop works

Lot (Entod) Eye Drop is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the eye red, swollen and itchy.

Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Lot (Entod) Eye Drop is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
To reduce the amount of Lot (Entod) Eye Drop that reaches the breastmilk, place pressure over the corner of the eye for 1 minute or more, then remove the excess solution with an absorbent tissue.
Lot (Entod) Eye Drop may cause blurring of your vision for a short time just after its use. Do not drive until your vision is clear.

What if you miss a dose of Lot Eye Drop?

If you miss a dose of Lot (Entod) Eye Drop, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Expert Advice

  • Your doctor has prescribed Lot (Entod) Eye Drop to treat redness and swelling (inflammation) of the eye. 
  • Do not use Lot (Entod) Eye Drop for more than the prescribed duration as it may cause glaucoma or secondary infection.
  • Do not touch the tip of the dropper to any surface, or to your eye, to avoid contaminating the eye drops.
  • Apply pressure on the corner of the eye (close to the nose) for about 1 minute immediately after instilling the drop.
  • Wait for at least 5-10 minutes before delivering the next medication in the same eye to avoid dilution.
  • Stinging sensation may occur for 1-2 mins. Notify your doctor if it persists for longer.
  • If you wear soft contact lenses, remove them before putting in these eye drops and wait at least 15 minutes before putting your lenses back in.
  • Make sure to use within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
  • Side effects such as mood changes or stomach problems can happen when you start taking Lot (Entod) Eye Drop. Inform your doctor if this bothers you.
  • Do not stop taking Lot (Entod) Eye Drop suddenly without talking to your doctor first as it may cause worsening of symptoms.
