Lippod 20 mg Injection

Overview

Introduction of Lippod Injection

Lippod 20 mg Injection is used in the treatment of some kinds of cancer. It is also used in the treatment of breast cancer, where there is an increased cardiac risk. It can be used on its own, or sometimes given together with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy.

Lippod 20 mg Injection can be used in both adults and children. It is given as injection with extreme caution by a qualified medical professional. It works by interfering with growth of cancer cells, which are eventually destroyed. This stops the spread of cancer cells in the body. Since the growth of normal body cells may also be affected with this medicine, other effects may also occur. Some of these may be serious and must be reported to doctor. Other effects like nausea and vomiting, may not be serious but may cause concern. Inform your doctor immediately if you notice any signs of infection such as fever, sore throat or rash. It is known to reduce the number of blood cells in your blood thereby, increasing the susceptibility to infections. Infections can sometimes be life threatening. Regular blood tests are required to monitor your blood cells along with kidney, liver and heart function during treatment with this medicine. It is important to use effective contraception to avoid getting pregnant or fathering a child during treatment. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you want to have a baby in the future.
