Uses

Kalicept 15gm sachet is used for treatment of hyperkalemia (high levels of blood potassium).

How it works

Kalicept 15gm sachet belongs to a class of drugs called cation exchange resins. It acts by removing the excess potassium present in the blood.

Common side effects

Nausea, Abdominal pain, Bleeding, Confusion, Constipation, Convulsion, Diarrhoea, Decreased potassium level in blood, Loss of appetite, Muscle weakness, Tachycardia, Heart rate irregular, Vomiting

  • Do not use if you have low potassium levels in blood.
  • Do not use in patients with risk of developing constipation or impaction (bowel blockage).
