Uses of Isobax Tablet

Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of chest pain (Angina).

How to use Isobax Tablet

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.

How Isobax Tablet works

Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is a nitrate. It reduces the workload of the heart. As a result, the heart muscle does not need as much blood and oxygen supply.

Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.
Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data available suggests that dose adjustment of Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.

What if you miss a dose of Isobax Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

  • Do not swallow, suck or chew the tablet. Place it under the tongue and allow it to dissolve slowly.

  • Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet may cause dizziness or sleepiness. Don't drive or do anything requiring concentration until you know how it affects you.
  • Do not consume alcohol while taking Isobax OD 30 mg Tablet as it may cause increased dizziness.
  • It may cause headaches but usually goes away after a few days of continued treatment. Inform your doctor if it persists.

Isobax does not cause erectile dysfunction but should not be used with the drugs such as Viagra used to treat ED. Low blood pressure is a common side effect of Isobax. Hair loss is not common, but may occur in some especially in older (60+) females
