Common

Nausea, Altered taste, Indigestion, Diarrhoea, Stomach pain, Weakness, Headache, Dizziness, Cough, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Numbness of extremity, Edema (swelling), Decreased blood pressure, Increased potassium level in blood.

How to use Hopecard AM Capsule

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

How Hopecard AM Capsule works

Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Amlodipine and ramipril which lower blood pressure effectively. It works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood flows more smoothly and the heart can pump blood more efficiently.

Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule is unsafe to use during pregnancy.
There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Lactation
Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Driving
Do not drive unless you are feeling well.
Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may cause side effects such as dizziness, headaches, nausea or tiredness, all of which could affect your ability to concentrate and drive.
Kidney
CAUTION
Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended for dose adjustment.
Liver
CAUTION
Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hopecard AM 5 mg/2.5 mg Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor if you develop any signs and symptoms of jaundice while taking this medicine.
