Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet is two medicines used in the treatment of various medical conditions like urticaria, allergic skin conditions, and food allergies. It blocks the action of histamine and relieves symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, skin rashes, and itching caused by the allergens.

Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. You should keep taking this medicine for as long as your doctor recommends. If you stop treatment too early your symptoms may come back and your condition may worsen. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking as some may affect, or be affected by this medicine.

The most common side effects of Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet are a headache, blurred vision, nausea, tiredness, and impaired concentration. Most of these are temporary and usually resolve with time. Contact your doctor straight away if you are at all concerned about any of these side effects. This medicine may also cause dizziness and sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make dizziness worse.

It works by blocking the action of a chemical called histamine in the body that is produced during an allergic reaction. Use Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet exactly as directed by your doctor. You may see an improvement in your skin after 2-3 weeks of using Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet.

In Food allergies

Your body might react to certain food and produce allergy symptoms such as itching, facial swelling, burning sensation in the lips and mouth or skin rash. How Hepasulfol AA Tablet works

Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines. Chlorpheniramine Maleate is an antiallergic medication. When your body is exposed to an allergen (pollen, animal dander, house dust etc.), it produces a chemical called histamine. This causes watery eyes, runny or blocked nose, sneezing, skin rashes, itching etc. It works by blocking the action of histamine, thereby relieving these symptoms. Trithioparamethoxy Phenylpropene belongs to the class of medications called as hepatoprotective agents. It provides protection to liver from hepatotoxic agents such as fatty acids, alcohol etc. and reduces the cholesterol in the blood thereby causing the smooth flow of blood.

Use of Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet may cause excessive sleepiness in patients with end stage kidney disease.
Liver

Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

What if you forget to take Hepasulfol AA Tablet?

If you miss a dose of Hepasulfol AA 12.5 mg/3 mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
