Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)(NA)


It is used for the treatment and prevention of vitamin B6 deficiency. It is important for the breakdown of protein, fats, and carbohydrates from foods.

How it works

Vitamin B6, principally in its biologically active coenzyme form pyridoxal 5'-phosphate, is involved in a wide range of biochemical reactions, including the metabolism of amino acids and glycogen, the synthesis of nucleic acids, hemogloblin, sphingomyelin and other sphingolipids, and the synthesis of the neurotransmitters serotonin, dopamine, norepinephrine and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).

Doxylamine or doxylamine succinate is used for the short-term treatment of insomnia (difficulty falling or staying asleep). How it works

Doxylamine belongs to a class of drugs called as antihistaminic. It acts by blocking the effects of the mainly chemical histamine and few others in the body, which are responsible for the symptoms of allergies, cold and morning sickness. It also causes drowziness and helps in falling a sleep.

Folic acid is used for the treatment of: anemia due to folic acid deficiency caused by poor diet, poor absorption of food or increased requirement of folate in the body (as in pregnancy). For prevention of: folate deficiency caused by some medicines and folate deficiency caused by long-term red blood cell damage or kidney dialysis.

How it works

Folic acid is a component of the B group of vitamins and is necessary for the normal production and maturation of red blood cells.
