Citric Acid(NA)


Urinary alkalinization.

How it works

Citrate salts are alkalinisers. They are commonly used in situations where long-term maintenance of an alkaline urine is necessary and in the management of chronic metabolic acidosis. Citric acid is also used in effervescing mixtures and as a synergist to improve the efficacy of antioxidants. It may also be used in preparations that are used in the treatment of dry mouth and to dissolve renal calculi and prevent encrustation of urinary catheters.

Diphenhydramine is used to relieve cough caused by minor throat or airway irritation. It is also used to relieve red, irritated, itchy, watery eyes; sneezing; and runny nose caused by hay fever, allergies, or the common cold; to prevent and treat motion sickness, certain symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and to treat insomnia (difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep).

How it works

Diphenhydramine belongs to the group of medicines called sedating antihistamines. It acts by blocking the action of hitamine, a chemical released in the body during an allergy.
