Furacin Cream is an antibiotic medicine that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. It is used to prevent and treat infections of burn wounds. This stops bacterial growth and prevents superficial burns and wounds from getting infected.

Furacin Cream is meant for external use only. It should be applied only to the affected area of the skin, after cleaning the wound. Use it as per the dosage and schedule prescribed by your doctor. In order to get the most benefit, apply it regularly and preferably at the same time each day. Do not use larger amounts or apply it more often or for a longer duration than directed. This will only increase the risk of side effects.

This medicine may cause side effects like minor rash, itching or swelling after application over the affected area. These are usually temporary and resolve quickly. But, consult your doctor if any of the side effects persist or if your condition does not improve.

Before using it, inform your doctor if you have any previous history of allergy to it or any other medicine. Avoid any contact with your eyes, nose or mouth.
