It can be taken with or without food, but it is better to take Fraxiparine 6150 iu injection at a fixed time.
Avoid Fraxiparine 6150 iu injection with valerian, kava kava and gotu kola.

Nadroparin(6150 iu)


Fraxiparine 6150 iu injection is used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (a condition in which harmful blood clots form in the blood vessels of the legs, which can travel and become lodged in the blood vessels of the lungs, causing pulmonary embolism). Fraxiparine 6150 iu injection is also is used to treat unstable angina or certain types of heart attacks and to prevent blood clots from forming during hemodialysis.

How it works

Fraxiparine 6150 iu injection belongs to a group of medicines called as low molecular weight heparins (LMWHs).It works by halting the coagulation pathway of thrombin and fibrin clotting cascade, thereby preventing clot formation.

Expert advice for FRAXIPARINE

  • Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, kidney disease or gastrointestinal ulceration.
  • You may need to regularly check and monitor for anti-factor Xa concentration, plasma and hemoglobin concentration and International Normalized Ratio (INR) during treatment with Nadroparin.
  • Your platelet counts should be determined prior to the commencement of therapy and twice a week for the duration of Nadroparin therapy.
  • Discontinue Nadroparin and seek immediate medical attention if you suffer from thrombocytopenia (deficiency of platelets in the blood).
  • Nadroparin may interfere with certain laboratory tests like liver function tests.
  • Inform your doctor if you are taking any medications such as aspirin or other drugs to reduce blood clotting such as warfarin.
  • Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
