Side Effects of Felogard are Fatigue, Sleepiness, Ankle swelling, Flushing (sense of warmth in the face, ears, neck and trunk), Headache, Nausea, Dizziness, Palpitations, Edema (swelling), Abdominal pain.
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER is a calcium channel blocker. It works by relaxing blood vessels which makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body.

You have been prescribed Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER to improve your blood pressure and/or to reduce the number and severity of angina attacks.
Lowering blood pressure reduces the chance of future heart attack & stroke.
- It can cause ankle or foot swelling. Raise your legs while you’re sitting down and talk to your doctor if it does not go away.
A sudden drop in your blood pressure may occur, especially when you first start taking Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER. To lower the chance of feeling dizzy or passing out, rise slowly if you have been sitting or lying down.
- Take it at the same time every day to help you remember to take it.

Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER may be unsafe to use during pregnancy.
Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the foetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor.
Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER is probably safe to use during lactation.
Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby.
Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER does not usually affect your ability to drive.
Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER is recommended.
However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease.

Regular monitoring of blood pressure is advisable while the patient is taking this medicine for better dose adjustment.
If you miss a dose of Felogard 2.5 mg Tablet ER, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
